Modern slavery

This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps Appt Health Ltd has taken during the financial year to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in any part of our business or supply chains.

1. Our Organisation

Appt Health Ltd is a UK-based health technology company that partners with NHS providers to deliver digital services designed to increase uptake of preventive healthcare. We are headquartered in London and operate only in the UK.

Our core operations include product development, clinical safety, marketing, and support services. We do not manufacture goods or maintain complex global supply chains.

2. Our Commitment

Appt Health is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships. We take a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking and are committed to preventing it in our operations and supply chain.

3. Risk Assessment and Due Diligence

Due to the nature of our work, we consider the risk of modern slavery in our own operations to be low. Nevertheless, we:

  • Conduct due diligence on suppliers, especially those providing outsourced or labour-based services
  • Seek written assurances where appropriate from third-party providers regarding their compliance with the Modern Slavery Act
  • Prioritise working with UK-based suppliers who are also subject to UK legislation

4. Policies

We have policies in place that support our commitment to ethical business practices, including:

  • Recruitment and onboarding policies
  • Whistleblowing policy
  • Anti-bribery and corruption policy
  • Equal Opportunities and Diversity Policy
  • Data Protection and Information Governance Policy
  • Supplier Code of Conduct

We intend to keep these policies under regular review.

5. Training and Awareness

Given the size and scope of our organisation, formal modern slavery training is not currently mandatory, but all staff are made aware of the issue as part of our wider commitment to ethical business and human rights.

6. Review and Approval

This statement has been approved by the leadership team of Appt Health Ltd and will be reviewed annually.

Signed,
Hector Smethurst
